Hi, I’m Axel, a Swedish guy, currently based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. As a game developer and music producer, I find immense joy in bringing imaginative worlds to life. Recently, I completed my bachelor’s degree in game design with a minor in graphics, equipping me with the skills to embark on many exciting projects.

This website serves as a sanctuary for the projects I’ve poured my heart into. Here, you’ll discover a diverse collection of collaborations and solo ventures, ranging from games and animations to 3D & 2D art and music. Beyond being a personal portfolio, this website also acts as a reflective space where I can chart my growth as an artist. Feel free to check out the different sections based on whatever tickles your fancy!

During my leisure hours, I delve into various projects that fuel my passion for learning. Presently, I’m challenging myself to get the hang of coding, particularly in C#. Additionally, I find solace in tinkering with electronics and reviving vintage game systems. As a self-proclaimed language enthusiast, I’m currently on an adventure to figure out the intricacies of Mandarin.

Nasal Nomad: Sniffer's Delight (2023)

Nasal Nomad: Sniffer’s Delight was created in 9 days for the Lv.99 Game Jam 2023. The theme of the jam was “Take a Deep Breath”. Among 329 submissions, the game made it to #1, and was thus selected as the Grand Winner in Singapore.

Enjoy a whiff of adventure in this nose-talgic journey, one inhale and exhale at a time!

You play as Sniffer, a tiny nose with snotty legs & toes. One unfortunate day, you are stolen from your human and discarded into the smelly sewers below. Can you navigate your way through the sludge, muck & grime, or will this olfactory journey of peculiar smells prove to be too overwhelming?

Our team Nasal Nomads consisted of three people and my contributions included 3D & 2D art, UI, Level Design & Music.

Aescension (2021)

Do you have what it takes to complete the cruel challenges hidden away in an ancient sanctum? Explore your way beneath the lively streets of Paris and discover its secrets. No one has yet been able to complete all the challenges to see what lies beyond. Will you be the first one?

Aescension was created during a two month period, as part of a Vertical Slice course. Known as Whiskey on the Rauks, me and my group were tasked to create a fully polished “slice” of a game – similar to that of a game demo. My contributions were, including but not limited to; game design, audio design and visual effects.

The game was submitted to the Gotland Game Conference were it it was awarded 1st place in the categories Art Direction and Audio.

Granny Unleashed (2019)

Your Grandmother is tired of staying in a retirement home and feels like it is time to party. Being her favorite grandchild, it is your job to break her out. Be warned however, this is no simple task as there are many obstacles in your way.

Granny Unleashed is a collaborative game I worked on during a 48 hour game jam in late 2019. The game jam had the theme “Out with the old” and we managed to win in the category “most fun”. In this project I was responsible for some of the animations and art assets.

Blue Maiden's Curse (2020)

Sure, you’ve heard tales of the abandoned Blue Maiden’s Island and its alleged curse. You probably thought it was fiction, created to scare ill-behaved children. That was of course, until you ended up there yourself. As a shipwrecked Carolean soldier you need to act quickly because in the eyes of the Blue Maiden and her army of undead, you’re just another soul to reap. Defend yourself but be careful not to lose your humanity while doing so.

Blue Maiden’s Curse was made by me and a few other students (collectively known as Genesis Productions) during a game design course in our 1st year. For this project I created the animation of the main character and the Blue Maiden boss. I was also responsible for creating the game’s music!
